明 唐寅《山路松聲圖》
《山路松聲圖》縱194.5厘米，橫102.8厘米，絹本，淺設色。圖繪一山高聳，有一泉水自山腰拾級而下，匯入河中。山腳有一小橋跨泉連接山路，橋上兩人，老者仰首側耳，似聽泉流松聲，一童攜琴隨後。泉畔是茂密的松林，枝幹虯曲，籐蔓纏身，微風吹過，松濤陣陣。松樹枝葉的畫法，從夏圭中來，但遠比之繁盛、寫實。以細勁的中鋒勾勒，轉折頓挫，不乏法度。山石硬朗，稜角分明，顯然是李、郭的畫法，但不師郭熙的卷雲皴，也不施馬、夏的斧劈皴，而是一種帶有唐寅個人風格的線皴，較之許道寧的直線皴更為隨意、疏鬆。勾筆較濃，而皴筆較淡，以濃點分出石的構成和層次，墨色通透而儒雅。山的結體，錯落盤桓，層次清晰，境致優美，而且真實感很強，有北宋全景山水的韻致。這又是他區別於沈周、文徵明之處。因為他經常遊歷名山大川，胸中自有崇山幽壑，而沈、文之大幅山水，往往取之古畫的摹仿。圖上自題：「女幾山前野路橫，松聲偏解合泉聲。試從靜裡閒傾耳，便覺沖然道氣生。」表達了他對於寧靜閒逸、與世無爭的理想生活的追求。當時行家評其畫在文徵明之上，但惜乎英年早逝。
唐寅（1470-1523），明代畫家。字伯虎，一字子畏，號六如居士、桃花庵主、逃禪仙史等，吳(今江蘇蘇州)趨裡人。人們大多從戲劇故事中領略了他的不少風流韻事，以為他似乎活得十分灑脫、享樂，其實他一生屢受挫折，鬱鬱寡歡，最終54歲早逝。他和文徵明同一年生，與文徵明少年時的遲鈍相反，唐寅卻是自幼聰敏機靈。文徵明27年中考了10次鄉試，都名落孫山；而唐寅29歲開始應鄉試，卻一舉博得第一名解元，聲名遠布。第二年赴京會試，不想捲入科場舞弊案，被株連入獄，革去功名。這對他無異是極大的打擊。前途無望，妻子離異，他變得自暴自棄，開始沉湎聲色，放蕩不羈，自稱「江南第一風流才子」。但他心猶未死，遊歷四方，等待時機。正德九年（1514），江西寧王朱宸濠遣人四方網羅人才，文徵明拒絕了，但唐寅卻去了。半年多後，唐寅還是看清了朱的蓄謀叛逆之心。於是佯裝癡狂，終被遣歸。從此似乎看破了紅塵，皈依佛教，自號「六如居士」（如夢、幻、泡、影、露、電）。雖然被後人評為「明四家」之一，但他的畫，卻遠不如文徵明那麼受追捧，生活清苦，但他仍放縱聲色，不多年也就在淒楚孤苦中去世。而文徵明比他多活了36年，桃李滿天下，儼然吳門畫派的領袖。
